Join artist Ulemj Glamuzina for an inspiring mixed media portrait workshop and discover the exciting possibilities of combining different materials and techniques to create expressive, textured portraits.
In this 4-hour session (either Saturday or Sunday), participants will explore the foundations of portrait drawing and painting before experimenting with acrylics, pastels, ink, and collage. You’ll learn how to layer materials to create depth, texture, and personality in your work while developing a freer, more expressive approach to portraiture.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, from beginners wanting to try portrait painting for the first time to more experienced artists looking to expand their creative practice.
The techniques explored can also be applied to other subjects such as landscapes and abstract work, offering fresh ideas and new ways to enrich your artistic process.
Materials
Most materials will be provided for the workshop. Participants are encouraged to bring:
Two brushes – one fine brush and one wider brush
Any favourite brushes or tools you enjoy using
Optional materials you may like to experiment with
This is a relaxed and creative session designed to encourage exploration, experimentation, and artistic confidence.

Mixed media portrait workshop Fee: $92 per person
Please specify if you prefer to attend Saturday 6 or Sunday 7 June, and whether you can attend instead on the other day. Workshop availability will depend on sufficient registrations, and if there are not enough registrants there may be only one workshop run.
